DOGS NEEDING HOMES

PLEASE READ BEFORE VIEWING DOGS.

Offering a home to a dog is a decision that should not be taken lightly.  Our dogs are rescue dogs they have not had the best start in life and we want to ensure that their next home is a loving, life-long permanent one.  Prospective owners should be committed to working with their new family member to overcome any hurdles or issues which may crop up.

All our rescues have a period of time in foster care with us where we assess them in order to give prospective owners an honest insight.  But please remember we are a sanctuary where our everyday life is geared towards having a house full of dogs, we have a dog flap and secure garden where the dogs come and go as they please, the dogs are allowed on our sofas, they sleep alongside us in our bedroom and they have canine and human company 24/7. Therefore our home situation is likely to be somewhat different to yours and a period of adjustment must be expected.  This might go smoothly or it might not, we cannot say, but all we ask is 100% committment on your part to make this work.

FLETCHER

If you want a dog who is going to adore you, then Fletcher's your man.  He loves affection and most definitely deserves bucket loads in return.

He is a handsome young lurcher boy of about 18 months.  He's probably a saluki x greyhound and is white with a beige dappled colouring.  He's got beautiful blonde eyelashes and an unusual liver coloured nose.

After returning from his previous family after financial difficulties prevented them from fully treating a wound that he'd sustained, he has been with us since 1st September.  This wound is now well and truly healed and Fletch is back to his old self and needs a family of his own.

Being a young dog barely out of puppyhood Fletch will require an active family who are around for part of the day.  He likes to interact with the dogs here and would happily live with another dog.  He previously lived with a cat, but it wasn't a match made in heaven and a cat free home would be preferable.

He adores children, and infact anybody who's willing to give him fuss, but probably best he doesn't live with babies and toddlers whilst he's so young.

Fletch is a quick learner, due to the fact he'd do anything for a treat.  He'll sit and give you a paw as well as wait and walk away on command. He does pull on the lead and he will need continued training in this area.

Fletcher's been dealt a raw deal throughout his short life and yet he still loves people and craves attention. We really want his next home to be life-long and for his new family to love him as much as he'd love them .

Please get in touch if you think you can you offer him this opportunity?

All our dogs are neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.  We ask for an adoption fee of £175.00. Home checks will be carried out and an adoption agreement signed.
